Due to the Sasago Tunnel accident on the Chuo-dou highway, the highway has been closed and traffic is being re-routed around the tunnel. We recommend that you take an alternate route to get to NORTHSTAR to save time and headache.
Sasago Tunnel has been closed and we recommend people take Kanetsu – Joshientsu highway to get NORTHSTAR. If you look at the google map it shows about 50km and 45 minutes difference. However some of our staff used the route to come back from Tokyo recently and it was very smooth.
