We all love outdoor sports because of the thrilling experiences that they can bring. That thrill cannot be found in other sports. With that in mind it is also a fact that some danger can come with it that thrill. We believe all adventure sports and outdoor activities should be done at your own risk for protecting yourself and the environment (Challenge by Choice). From that point of view we can be reminded of the the risk. We ask our guests who join to our outdoor programs to fill out and sign our waiver release form. Also, we recommend our guests have our accident insurance or wilderness/backcountry insurance for intermediate/advanced guided MTB programs.
Accident Insurance – ¥800 (up to 4 days)
Our accident insurance covers you like travel insurance and also covers adventure activities that we provide such as snowboarding, rope climbing, mountain biking, etc. Unlike most other insurance companies our travel insurance will cover outdoor activities so you can challenge yourself to an adventure with peace of mind.
Coverage and Maximum Compensation
Death & Disabilities: ¥10,000,000, Hospital Charges: ¥10,000/day, Treatment: ¥6,000/day, Rescue: ¥1,000,000
Wilderness/Backcountry Insurance – ¥1,000 (up to 2 days)
Adding to the accident insurance above, our backcountry insurance covers rescue costs in the case that a helicopter is needed. We recommend this for the guests who join our backcountry tours and guided MTB tours.
Coverage and Maximum Compensation
Death & Disabilities: ¥10,000,000, Hospital Charges: ¥10,000/day, Treatment: ¥6,000/day, Rescue: ¥3,000,000
*If you would like to cover the transportation from your house to NORTHSTAR and back to your house, please contact us a week before your arrival.
