Golden Week from April 29th is the one of the best seasons to play around Norikura. The ski resort will be closed but the shuttle bus to Kuraigahara Hutte (2,350m) will be started running and you can enjoy genuine spring backcountry. Snow will be gone and the trail will be showing. Enjoy mountain biking and trail running on them. Also it is season for beautiful skunk cabbage. Hike and feel the spring breath.

Not only for backcountry, 45 minutes bus ride will take you there. Hike around the huttte with snow shoes.
Kamikochi • Taisho Pond – Kappa Bridge – Myojin Pond
45 Minutes bus ride from Norikura Kogen. As you hike along Azusa River, you will be impressed with snow covered Hodaka Range.
