Today our bike guides headed to Hakuba to be part of the first ever crew of mountain bike guides to take the IMIC (International Mountain Bike Instructors Certification) in Japan. We spent the morning in the classroom with our instructor Shaums March learning some fundamental guiding skills and then headed out to work on them in the afternoon.
I the evening we had some homework that consisted of reading and then translating into Japanese 2 very long chapters of the manual. Fun stuff!
