The second day of our MTB guide training went well with good weather and some good new teaching skills being added. The training is being put on by an IMIC master coach named Shaums March.
This morning we broke into two groups and practiced teaching some basic per-ride skills. This is something we normally do at NORTHSTAR but it’s always good to brush up and improve our teaching skills.
We spent the afternoon in the classroom covering the some technical stuff in the manual and then headed back outside to learn and study some more skills on our bikes. This training has been both challenging and fun for all of us and we are all looking forward to sharing many of the skills we have learned here with you on our MTB tours and in our beginner lessons.
