How you can enjoy fall colors in Norikura Kogen?
Compare to Karasawa in Kamikochi, you can enjoy fall colors in Norikura much easier. Using the shuttle bus to Mt. Norikura, you can exit the bus at a high elevation directly inside of the fall foliage. We recommend hiking down as you experience the different colors of fall in different elevations. Also if you stay in Norikura Kogen, there are variety of Ryokans and lodges that you can enjoy Onsen (hotsprings). If the timing is right you might enjoy Matsutake mashrooms for dinner.
