The E-bikes that we are using are the Specialized Turbo LEVO SL Carbon. This is a very sought after bike in the Mountain Bike Community. The downhill riding feels just like a regular Bike. The uphill ride is a breeze with the electric assist and it may almost make you want to buy one for yourself.
Our NORTHSTAR Tours are all self pedalling tours which means we ride to the trails, descend, and ascend all with our own two legs. With the E-bikes we are able to ride more trails and for longer periods of time.
The best feeling after a tour is the accomplishment of finshing with the power of your own 2 legs. There are no lifts or buses to pick you up and so the whole tour is accomplished by your own power. Where regular Mountain Bikes may make you feel tired and discourage, E-bikes can cover the extra power that you need.
Norikura Highlands has the first public Bike Trails inside of a National Park in Japan. When combined with the NCMT ad the trials reserved for guiding there are about 25km of trails with 500m elevation difference, making it the perfect place to ride the LEVO SL.
The Tours are Half Day (~3 Hours) or Full Day (~6 Hours). Even beginners that are somewhat active can easily enjoy full day tours.
