[en]On a beautiful blue bird day, we climbed up to see what the conditions of the snow pack was like and to evaluate the stability of the terrain was. No doubt, due to the fact of Norikura’s high elevation the snow pack had great bonding and had a high percentage of safety. Backcountry is about percentages… I wonder how many people spend the time to dig a pit, evaluate the snow and then enjoy the ride. Safety first and then… have fun![/en][jp]雲一つない快晴＝Blue Bird! 今回はライディングよりもバックカントリーのコンディションチェックに行ってきました。乗鞍岳は標高が高く、雪の結晶の結びつきが強いため、安定したコンディションの確率が高いです。しかしながらそれはあくまで「確率」の話。バックカントリーに入る人のうちどのくらいの人がピットを掘って、雪のコンディションを調べてから滑っているかは疑問です。安全第一、でたっぷり楽しんで下さい[/jp]
